Who is Klarissa Miller?
Klarissa is a classically trained music performer and teacher who graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University, where she earned her Bachelor of Music, Vocal Performance. Growing up in San Diego, California, she attended community theatre programs such as Junior Theatre and CYT where she discovered her lifelong love for performing. Getting her start as Hero in Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, her credits also include Katherine Plumber in Newsies (NYA winner 2019), Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Arianna/The Devil in the premiere of Two Birds, One Stone. She was also featured as a soloist in Handel’s Messiah in 2022 and 2024.
As a performer, Klarissa has graced many stages, bringing a dynamic presence to various musicals. Her extensive experience in the musical theater scene has allowed her to blend her classical training with the expressive demands of stage performance, delivering powerful, nuanced interpretations of iconic roles. Whether performing in leading roles or providing guidance as the Vocal Director, Klarissa brings artistry that captivates audiences.
In addition to performing, Klarissa is a dedicated music educator who can sing in 7 different languages in various genres. Drawing from her academic background and professional performance experience, she offers private lessons for aspiring musicians and performers in both vocals and piano. With an emphasis on technique, artistry, and musicality, Klarissa is passionate about nurturing the next generation of musicians, and helping them develop their vocal and instrumental skills.
